ECOWAS Summit: Nigeria Remains Committed to Peace, Stability - Jonathan



President Goodluck Jonathan says Nigeria is committed to peace and stability in the ECOWAS sub-region despite the acts of terror being experienced in parts of the country.

He told a summit of ECOWAS in Abuja that the region is currently faced with the challenges of terrorism and the Ebola Virus Disease.

He called for regional, continental and global alliance to tackle terrorism.

The current chairman of ECOWAS and President of Ghana, John Mahama lamented the political instability in Mali and the threat of insecurity posed by Boko Haram in Nigeria.
