2014 Silverbird Man of The Year Award


 

Six illustrious Nigerians have been nominated for the 2014 silverbird man of the year award, for their extra-ordinary achievements.

They are Innocent Chukwuma, the chairman of Innoson vehicles, the first indigenous vehicle manufacturing plant, governor Ibrahim shema of Katsina State for infrastructural development and the introduction of free education for girls.

Others are the governor of Delta State, Doctor Emmanuel Uduaghan for restoring peace to the state, massive infrastructural development free health care for children and the elderly and his highly acclaimed micro credit scheme.


The director-general of the securities and exchange commission, Arunma Oteh was nominated in recognition of her efforts to transforming the Nigerian capital market while the minister of agriculture, Doctor Akinwunmi Adesina was shortlisted for drastically reducing the racketeering in the fertiliser distribution system, resulting in increased agricultural production.

Also nominated is the minister of trade and investment, Olusegun Aganga for his efforts in boosting Nigeria’s international trade and attracting foreign direct investment into country.
